It's a sandbox style game so, sometimes crazy shit happens and you're all laughing about it, or sometimes epic things happen and you're all yelling to each other to do different tasks and it feels rewarding. "You bail water, I'll fix the hole. Other friend, keep shooting!" etc but the game is grindy too and sometimes doing the same style missions over and over feels boring. Sometimes it doesn't because random stuff happens. Also, you can mix up the type of things you do which keeps it fresh. There was enough stuff that me and my friends played it for months and had a ton of fun.

There are moments to like and I recommend playing at least once, but for me, huge portions of the game are incredibly dull. Also I’ll say that the game is on Gamepass which I know is always mentioned but that why I play it. Plus if you’ve never had Gamepass before it’s a $1 for 3 months right now so basically you could try just this game for $1 and it’s still worth it. It has to be at least one ship's worth of other players , but I guess we technically don't know that yet.

Sea battles are kinda fun but melee and gun combat is super simplistic and really sucks imo. Which is the game's biggest downfall, because it really forces the pvp on you and pvp is mostly about boarding the enemy ship and using glitches and cheese tactics.
A new type of currency named "Ancient Coins" can be purchased from both the Xbox store and in-game. Rare released monthly updates and introduced new Tall Tales, new modes, new quests, and new features till December 2020.
